Denver International (DEN) has a nonstop to every one of the other 72 US airports Midway keeps full route files for, the busiest in the country. It is the only one of the 73 that reaches all the others, against 65 for Nashville and 60 for Austin in the Nashville and Austin offsite profiles. So for a team spread across the large US airports, flights rarely rule Denver out. The Denver offsite comparison sets it against O’Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta and the other central hubs.
Each count comes from Midway’s route data as of 26 October 2026, for flights from October 2026 to September 2027. A route counts if it runs in at least one month, in either airport’s list. Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are left out. Denver’s list also has Fort Collins-Loveland (FNL), 44 miles away on a carrier code that is most likely a ground connection, and that entry is not counted.
Neighborhoods, breweries and the train from the airport are in the Denver city profile. This page covers what an offsite adds on top: offices outside the US, which months to pick, where the team meets and what it does between sessions.

US offices with a nonstop to Denver
DEN’s own list holds around 200 US airports, and around 235 destinations once the international routes are added. All 72 of the large airports have a Denver nonstop in every month from November 2026 to April 2027. Sarasota starts in November, and West Palm Beach, listed in the data under its DJT code, runs from October to April only. So a Palm Beach office connects for a summer offsite.
United flies around 175 of the US routes and is the only airline on around 85 of them. Southwest is on around 90 and Frontier on around 45. The large offices usually have a choice: Seattle and Los Angeles list five airlines each, Boston four, and LaGuardia three (Delta, United and Southwest). Newark, Washington Dulles, Honolulu and Maui list United only. The data names the airlines that sell a route, which can include a codeshare (one airline selling seats on another’s flight), but not fares.
An office without a nonstop in your month connects instead. The budget breakdown by flight access works through what that changes line by line, with Denver as one of its four cities and a Dublin office that has to connect.
Offices outside the US
London Heathrow (British Airways and United), Frankfurt and Munich (Lufthansa and United) have a Denver nonstop in every month of the data. So do Reykjavik on Icelandair and Istanbul on Turkish Airlines. Rome on United skips December to February, and Paris Charles de Gaulle on United runs from May 2027 only. Dublin and Amsterdam have no Denver nonstop in the data, so those offices connect.
The flights into Denver take around 8h05 from Reykjavik, 9h50 to 10h00 from London, 10h10 to 10h40 from Frankfurt and Munich, and 12h30 or more from Istanbul. Tokyo Narita has United in every month, at around 10h35. So an office in Europe or Asia probably needs an arrival night before the first session.
Toronto and Vancouver have Air Canada and United in every month, Montreal has Air Canada, and Calgary has United and WestJet. Edmonton, Winnipeg and Regina have United all year, Ottawa from April 2027 and Quebec City from May 2027. Most Canadian travelers clear US immigration before boarding, as the Toronto city profile explains. Mexico City has Aeroméxico, United and Volaris all year, at around 3h50 to 4h10, and Panama City has Copa in every month.

Months and seasons
Denver’s route list barely moves through the year, as the Denver offsite comparison shows month by month. The “every month” window above stops at April because Frontier, Sun Country and Avelo schedules end there in the data, Allegiant’s and Breeze’s after May, and Southwest’s after August. September loses Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby, Chicago Midway and Oakland, four routes flown by Southwest alone, which looks like schedules not yet loaded. So check the month again in Midway before booking an offsite after April.
NOAA’s 1991–2020 climate normals for Denver International give an average high of around 71°F in May, 83°F in June, 80°F in September and 65°F in October. July is the warmest month, at around 90°F, and May and July are the wettest, at around 2.2 inches of rain each. From December to February, highs average around 45°F and lows around 18°F to 20°F. So September is probably the easiest month for an offsite with time outdoors, with May, June and October next.
Visit Denver puts the city at exactly one mile high, with a step of the State Capitol marked at 5,280 feet. A night in the mountains is a separate decision. The CDC’s Yellow Book gives lodging at 8,150 feet in Vail and 9,600 feet in Breckenridge, and says acute mountain sickness affects about 25% of visitors who sleep above 8,000 feet in Colorado.
The National Western Stock Show runs from January 9 to 24, 2027. The Great American Beer Festival took October 10 and 11, 2026, at Levitt Pavilion, and its 2027 dates are not out yet. Ask for hotel rates on those dates before you settle on the month.
Venues for the working sessions
The Colorado Convention Center added the Bluebird Ballroom on a new terrace level: 80,000 square feet without columns, which splits into 19 meeting rooms of different sizes. Visit Denver counts 63 meeting rooms and 584,000 square feet of exhibit space in the building, with more than 13,000 hotel rooms within walking distance. Its team of nearly 40 takes requests for proposals and matches planners with venues at no cost.
For a team of a few dozen, a hotel meeting room or one section of that ballroom is probably closer to the right size than an exhibit hall. Gaylord Rockies, in Aurora, has more than 1,500 guest rooms and sits minutes from DEN, according to its owner, Ryman Hospitality Properties. It probably suits a team that wants sessions and rooms under one roof near the airport more than one that wants evenings downtown.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre is owned and operated by the City and County of Denver. Its Rock Room, in the Visitor Center, is rented for receptions, banquets and corporate events, with capacities and dates handled through an online form. None of these venue pages lists a rental price, so the venue row in your budget is a quote.
Team activities
Red Rocks Park, at 18300 W. Alameda Parkway in Morrison, is free to enter and to park, and its trails open an hour before sunrise and close an hour after sunset, according to its visitor page. The Trading Post Trail runs 1.4 miles through the rock formations. On event days the amphitheatre itself closes at around 2 p.m., so check the concert calendar before you pick the afternoon.
Yoga on the Rocks ran 12 Saturday sessions from 7 to 8 a.m. in 2026, from May 30 to August 29, at $23 a ticket. The 2027 dates are not out yet. Back in the city, the Colorado State Capitol runs free guided tours of about an hour, dome included, on the hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. For ten guests or more it recommends a group tour, requested at least two weeks ahead.
For a volunteering afternoon, Food Bank of the Rockies takes up to 30 volunteers in the morning and about 20 in the afternoon at its main facility in Aurora, with advance arrangements. A group sends a request form first and is confirmed only when the food bank sends a registration link.
Hotel rates for your dates come from quotes. As a ceiling, the GSA per diem rates for Denver and Aurora in fiscal year 2027 are $227 a night for lodging from April to October and $170 from November to March, with $92 a day for meals and incidental expenses. Those are federal reimbursement limits, not hotel quotes.
Comparing Denver with other cities
The offsite destination comparison template has Denver in a filled-in example next to Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Toronto and Nashville, for four offices including Vancouver. The cluster page has the full method, from team roster to shortlist.
