Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), the airport for Scottsdale, has a nonstop from around 130 US airports in Midway’s route data for the next twelve months. Nashville (BNA) has around 110 and Austin (AUS) around 85. That is the order on the question of which bachelorette city the most US airports reach, but for a bridal party coming from large cities the three are closer than the counts suggest, and flight time decides more.

Each count is the number of US airports in the city’s own nonstop list, with a flight in at least one month from October 2026 to September 2027. For every airport with its own route file in Midway’s data the route also runs the other way, so it is the number of US airports with a nonstop to the city as well. Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are left out (San Juan has a nonstop to Nashville and Austin, not to Phoenix).

Scottsdale’s own airport has no scheduled airline flights, so Phoenix stands in for it. Ten bachelorette cities, with their counts of all nonstop destinations including international ones and notes on what each costs and suits, are in US bachelorette cities ranked by direct-flight access. This page compares three of them on US reach only.

*From Midway’s route data as of 26 October 2026, rounded to the nearest 5. “In every month” counts the US airports with a nonstop listed in each month from October 2026 to August 2027. The last column includes international destinations and is the figure the ranking page uses.

Around 60 US airports have a nonstop to all three cities, every large hub among them. The difference is in the smaller airports. Around 45 US airports fly to Phoenix and to neither of the other two, most of them in the West and most on American: Honolulu, Maui, Kona and Lihue, Anchorage, Spokane, Santa Barbara, and small towns such as Show Low, Page, Silver City and Telluride. Nashville’s own list of around 25 leans East, much of it on Allegiant, Southwest and Avelo: Allentown, New Haven, Lakeland, Punta Gorda, Myrtle Beach, Portland (Maine), Providence and Syracuse, plus LaGuardia. Austin has 6 of its own, all small: Amarillo, Asheville, Baton Rouge, Columbia (Missouri), Gainesville and Harlingen.

So for most bridal parties the count matters less than the specific airports. Of the 72 US airports Midway holds full route files for, the ones with no nonstop to Phoenix are LaGuardia, Sarasota, Charleston and Savannah. Nashville has none from Honolulu, Maui, Anchorage, Orange County, Oakland, Spokane or Tucson. Austin misses the most: LaGuardia, Hartford, Norfolk, Richmond, Boise, Spokane, Tucson, Honolulu, Maui, Anchorage, and San Antonio, which is about 80 miles away by road. LaGuardia’s perimeter rule keeps most of its flights under 1,500 miles, so New York guests heading to Austin or Phoenix fly from JFK or Newark.

The Phoenix count is a floor for the area rather than the total. Phoenix-Mesa Gateway (AZA), the metro’s second airport, is not in Midway’s 600-airport set, and Allegiant flies there from cities such as Boise, Grand Rapids, Omaha and Cincinnati. Each of those also has a nonstop to Sky Harbor in the data, so for a group the second airport adds a choice of airline more than a new city.

Typical nonstop time into each city: the fastest scheduled flight from any of the metro’s airports, median over the months the route is listed, rounded to 5 minutes. New York is JFK, LaGuardia and Newark, Chicago is O’Hare and Midway, and Washington is Reagan, Dulles and Baltimore. Los Angeles is LAX, Burbank, Orange County and Ontario, and the Bay Area is San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose. The other metros use their main airport. Portland to Nashville runs in October and from April to September only.

Every one of the 20 metro areas has a nonstop to all three cities. Nashville is within 3 hours of 14 of them, and only three are over 4 hours, all on the West Coast, with Portland and Seattle the longest at 4h25. Phoenix is the mirror image: Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas are 1h30 or less, but 9 of the 20 are over 4 hours, Boston the longest at 5h50. Austin is within 3 hours of 11, and its longest flight in the table is Boston at 4h40.

Thirteen of the 20 metros are east of Denver, so the table leans toward Nashville. A group from Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas and Denver reads it the other way, with every flight to Phoenix at 2h00 or less. For a group split between New York and Los Angeles, Nashville and Austin come out close: 2h30 and 3h50 to Nashville, 4h00 and 2h45 to Austin.

Seasonal routes and the summer dip

The counts move through the year, and Phoenix moves the opposite way from Nashville. Phoenix lists the most US airports in January and February, around 125, and the fewest from June to August, around 105. Much of the winter extra is ski and northern towns, among them Aspen, Vail, Telluride, Sun Valley, Billings and Fargo, flown from December to April. Nashville peaks in April at around 105 and drops to around 85 in August. Austin moves less, between around 65 in August and around 75 in April.

September 2027 looks much thinner in the data for Nashville and Austin, at around 30 and 35 US airports. That is most likely a gap in the data rather than a cut: 49 of the 55 Nashville routes listed in August and not September are flown only by Southwest, whose September schedule does not appear yet. Around 50 of Nashville’s US airports are served by Southwest alone, so check the month again before anyone books a September weekend.

Choosing between the three

Midway’s data says which airports reach each city nonstop and how long the flight takes. It does not say what the weekend costs on the ground or which of the three the bride wants, and those usually decide it once the flights work. The ranking of ten bachelorette cities covers both, and how to pick a bachelorette destination everyone can fly to covers the method for a group of any size.
